Lastly, this is the first of a quarterly newsletter that will continue to be sent throughout the year to keep all of you up-to-date!

Robbie Yurasits | BID Coordinator

Hello BID Businesses! My name is Robbie Yurasits and I am the new BID Coordinator here for Souderton.  I recently graduated with a BA in Creative Writing and English, and I am excited to see what the future holds!

I have spent the last few months trying to gain an understanding of the position and what I can do to improve the business community.  Moving forward into 2019, I want to assure you all that I am driven, hardworking and will do my best to meet your needs/concerns.  I have a lot of ideas moving forward, and I am looking forward to unveiling them!

My office hours are Wednesday – Friday, 10:00 A.M – 4:00 PM.  I will also be in charge of running the 3rd Friday Events.

If there are any questions you may have, please do not hesitate to contact me; 215-723-6627 | coordinator@soudertonbid.com

3rd Fridays

3rd Friday season is here!  We know you're all excited that it's finally back! We're kicking off our third year April 19th!

Between 6 PM and 9 PM, the party is coming to Souderton! Live music, entertainment, beer and wine, and dozens of great food trucks like Taza Food Truck and Ziggy's Roaster! Speaking of beer... Free Will Brewing is our pop-up beer garden for this season!

Our last 3rd Friday had a turnout of approximately 1200 people! Let's make that number even bigger this season!

3rd Friday is not only a night of great fun but it's also a great opportunity to promote your business. Being a BID Business, did you know that having a table at the event is free? This year we have various vendor and storefront options.  We created the new storefront option for those BID members unable to bring a table to the main event so they can still participate in 3rd Fridays.

For example, if a restaurant has a special, and it lands on a 3rd Friday during their business hours, call it the 3rd Friday special and retail vendors can do the same.   This way it promotes the event, and in our social media marketing, we’ll highlight your special!

You MUST register to be included as a 3rd Friday vendor or storefront location to be included in the advertising for the event.

BID Business Contact Information

In an attempt to make communication smoother between the BID and the various businesses within its district, Robbie has been trying to complete a contact list.  If you have not been contacted, or haven’t filled out a contact form, please click this link and fill out the form!

Additionally, if you know of a business owner who has not been contacted or has not filled out this form, please direct them to do so with the above link!

Once Robbie has a complete, comprehensive list, communication will be much smoother, and the businesses within the district will be much more up to date and aware of the many wonderful changes happening within Souderton!

2019 Annual Meeting - Tuesday, July 30th, 2019 - 5:30-7:30 PM.

Roles of the Souderton Business Improvement District (BID) and Souderton Telford Main Streets (STMS)

We felt it would be important to address that the BID and STMS operate as separate entities. There seems to be general confusion on the relationship of the two organizations and which programs are part of each organization.  Robbie Yurasits (coordinator@soudertonbid.com) is the contact for the Souderton BID and Jordana Fitzgerald (jordana@stmainst.org) is the contact for STMS.

The Souderton Business Improvement District (BID) only applies to and represents those businesses within the District Outline, as seen on the following map.  Each commercial property in the outlined district is billed an annual assessment fee.  The fees collected are then used for programs and assets as designated and voted on by your District Advisory Council (DAC).   Only those within this District Outline receive its benefits.  The BID believes in the revitalization of Downtown Souderton.  Telford or any Souderton business outside of the district outline are not included in the Souderton BID.

The BID focuses on Business Improvement and trying to gain more attention and attraction to Souderton to make businesses more profitable and increase desirability for new businesses to locate within our borders which in turn will raise property values.  The following sections within this newsletter showcase BID projects and our efforts.  Souderton 3rd Fridays is the only event the Souderton BID runs.

The mission of Souderton Telford Main Streets as stated on their website is as follows:

  • Souderton Telford Main Streets (STMS) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation dedicated to the revitalization of Souderton and Telford Boroughs. STMS advocates the revitalization and sustainability of our two communities to advance the quality of life for the people who live and work here.  We promote the unique assets of each borough, foster the growth of business and residential neighborhoods and guide development to enrich our communities.

STMS works in cooperation with both the Souderton and Telford Boroughs and operates the following functions:

  • So You Think You Can Cook

  • Telford Night Market

  • Souderton Art Jam

  • Oktoberfest

  • Souderton Parade

  • Souderton Tree Lighting

  • Telford Tree Lighting

STMS relies on donations to keep the above programs running.  They do not receive any monies from the BID assessments to maintain these programs and the BID has no involvement in the running of these programs.
